Fells Point

9:00 AM

One of my favorite places to go to in Maryland is Fells Point. Fells Point is a historic waterfront neighborhood of Baltimore which has been around since about 1763. Made up of shops, restaurants, music shops, markets and most notably over 120 pubs. With it's maritime past this seafaring town boasts the greatest concentration of drinking establishments and restaurants in the city.

Bond Street Social
is an awesome bar/restaurant. Lots of fun on weekend nights I actually met Terrell Suggs (Outside Linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens) there!

Drinking establishments aside, filled with cobblestone streets and historic charm, Fells Point makes a great day trip to enjoy good food by the water, Baltimore style.

My favorite spot is The Waterfront Hotel. Food is amazing (their Calamari Fries are heavenly), live music on weekends, and you can't beat their brunch special! $10 bottomless Mimosas on Sat & Sun from 10am to 2pm. I'm there! If there's one thing Baltimore takes seriously, it's brunch.

My other favorite watering hole is Max's. With 140 rotating taps and over 1200 bottle beers in stock there is definitely something for everyone from your casual drinker to your beer connoisseurs. Avoid if you're claustrophobic! Get's crowded during the weekend!

Bertha's
is the greatest, definitely try the garlic & capers mussels! Also if you can get the 10 Sips That Shook The World Cocktail (see above) a delicious combination Raspberry Stoli, St. Germain, Agave Green Tea Reduction, Lemon Juice, and Orange Bitters it will knock you off your feet!

Other places worth checking out: Brightside Boutique for trendy clothes, Red Star & Brick Oven Pizza for tasty pizza, Sticky Rice for late night drinks, Blue Moon Cafe for ultra late night breakfast food (try the Sweet Baby Jesus or Capn' Crunch French Toast), The Horse You Came In On Saloon (the oldest operating bar in the United States and Edgar Allen Poe had his last drink there) & Willow (charming atmosphere, yummy margaritas and delicious fish tacos!).

Next time you're in the area, mosey down to Fells Point! It'll be worth it I promise! xx
