Chamber of Wonders

One of my favorite museums to go to in Baltimore is the Walter's Art Museum. It's rooms and rooms of gorgeous art, statues, and odds and ends that make it an incredible place to stroll through. Best part, it's free! My favorite room is the Chamber of Wonders (which, actually inspired Walter Wick of iSpy books fame).

Renaissance & Baroque

The painting above of Judith Decapitating Holofernes by Triphime Bigot is one of my favorites.

16th Century

13th-15th Century

There are hundreds of gorgeous trinkets and jewelry on display The details on the clock above are amazing as is the small palace hidden in this decorative egg.

And if that isn't enough to entice you, the Mount Vernon area, which The Walters is located in, is gorgeous. Pop in for a drink and bite to eat at The Brewer's Art or The Owl Bar (located in the bottom of the Belvedere Hotel). Take a peak in the George Peabody Library. And you can't miss the original Washington Monument.
