New Beauty For 2016

9:00 AM

It's been a while since I've wrote about anything beauty related. I've actually been downsizing my beauty stash and trying to find either multipurpose items or items that are new forever favorites. I've also been pretty good at waiting until I use up something before I rush to buy a new item, however there has been a couple things that I've been looking to find a solid replacement for - you'll see what I mean.... here we go!

Love & Roses Beauty Mist from Olivine Atelier - I recently finished up my old face toner and had my eye on Olivine's for a while now. What I like about it is that it can be used on hair, body and face to add hydration. Made of anti-aging beautifiers, essential oils, sacred flower essences, and waters to soften skin and hair. It smells heavenly of roses, which is one of my favorite scents.

Volume Plumping Whip from Toni & Guy - I recently started the process of dying my hair blonde and after seeing my hair all bouncy and fluffy from a proper blow out I've been dying to recreate it. This product has received wonderful reviews and the price point is right up my alley. Hears to big volume in 2016.

Dream Velvet Foundation from Maybelline - I've never really been loyal to any particular foundation as I've never really found one I've been entirely keen on. Typically after I've finished one up I look for a new one to try instead of rebuying. I was drawn to this as it promised a matte finish with hydration which is something I'm always jonesing for. The texture is so lovely, and it has great coverage. My only gripe is the shade I have is a touch too light, with the next shade up being a tad too dark. However, that's usually the case when it comes to my skin!

UO Nail Polishes in Bardot & Cafe au Lait from Urban Outfitters - After Essie, I'm not going to lie, I'm a really big fan of Urban Outfitters nail polishes. Very inexpensive (if you nab them for 2 for $8) and the colors are extremely trendy, the go on smooth and last long. I'm pretty obsessed with neutral shades so I couldn't resist this olive green shade (Bardot) and this creamy nude (Cafe au Lait) which is rather similar to another shade I have from UO but this one is matte not glossy - justification.

Velvet Shadow Stick in Oaxaca from Nars - I'm incredibly lazy, and sort of make up challenged. I absolutely can not do eye shadow aside from a single swipe of color. The Velvet Shadow Stick is so great because it's easy to use and quick so I feel pulled together without a lot of effort.

Infallible Black Velvet Liquid Eyeliner from L'Oreal - I have been on the market for a new eyeliner for eons ever since I tragically ran out of my favorite eyeliner ever (Seventeen Semi Permanent Liquid Eyeliner) and it's not available in the U.S. After many many failed options I think I've found the new one. Usually I'm not a fan of "felt brush" liquid eyeliners as they feel like I'm dragging it across my eyelid. But I'm really loving this. It's extremely smooth, easy to maneuver and much more precise than I thought it was going to be at first glance.

Shimmering Skin Perfecter in Rose Gold from BECCA - Yet another multi-use product for making my life easier. It's like a blusher and highlighter all in one that makes my face literally look like it's glowing with a hint of color. Plus a little goes a long way so I'll be able to keep it around for a while.

Soft Matte Lip Cream in Cannes from NYX - I'm a fan of a matte lip, but it's hard if the formula is drying - which can more often than not be the case. I actually wanted to find a MLBB shade of the Liquid Suede Cream however the only shades left were vibrant or dark. I then took a look at the Soft Matte Lip Creams and found this pretty rose shade. I actually like it better than the Suede Creams! It's not drying in the least and is so so creamy. Might need to scoop up more of these little wonders.

And that's it! A few new things for my stash. I'm actually planning on making a rather big hair care purchase in the next few weeks as with my new hair color I feel I need to treat and care for it better. Keep an eye out!
